about the blog

Through this blog I want to share with everyone who wants to listen (through reading) some advice and experience about the lovely topic called: study abroad.

I firmly believe that every single person should, at some point in his life, spend at least few months abroad – not on holiday but a proper time abroad – living, grocery shopping, working or studying, figuring out the intricacies of the place. For those who have chosen to go to college it should be obvious that the best time to do this study abroad adventure is while you are still in uni. Why? Well, first of all, your university will have a bunch of great programs to choose from. Whether it’s Erasmus or a regular partnership between your college and another distant, exotically located one, making full use of the programs offered is what will make your student years truly exceptional.

Originally, I planned on sharing with you programs for students (both short and long ones, I mean why not do a whole degree abroad) which I came across online. However, as I began actually posting here, I realized that I could also share more of my experience abroad, some tips here and there, scholarship and financial aid ideas; essentially I’d like to use this blog to encourage you to go study and live abroad.

Take a look around my blog and follow me for your weekly dose of travel inspiration, sharing of experience, and authentic curiosity about life, traveling and education.

  2. Hi, there!

I’m Jane and am an avid reader and blogger, a passion which I think we share. I’ve been writing contents on the web professionally since 2010. I share my experience through articles on Travel, Culture, History, Lifestyle and many more.

Your blog “travelingfolk.com” is probably one of the most interesting ones I’ve seen recently and with due reason. I was wondering if I could do a guest post for your blog.

I would like to write on “World Famous Natural wonders in Australia” or any other suggested topic for your blog.

It would be an honor to see my article published on your site.

I look forward to hearing from you.

    Regards,
    Jane Roberts.

  3. Amazing blog! I just followed I’m trying to do something with a somewhat similar concept, where I mostly give tips to students studying abroad looking to go on affordable side trips on long weekends/time off. do you have any advise on how to get it going? Your blog is a tremendous success and I would deeply appreciate any insight you have into travel blogging.
